Once again Villeroy & Boch succeeded in convincing the jury of the red dot award with the new mainstream bathtub family Loop & Friends in the category product design. Within 4.515 registrations representing 1.800 companies from 58 countries there was tough competition. Our exceptional concept convinced the jury: Square & Oval- 2 geometrical inner forms for a total of 22 bathtubs designed by Johan de Groot and Chris Hegeman. The universal bathtub-board, made of wood, is available in the colors “Oak Graphite” and “Oak” and was also honored with the red dot award 2012 for high quality design.

Whether the bathroom is large or small, symmetric or asymmetric; the large variety of Loop & Friends bathtubs makes it easy to find the right bath to match harmoniously in all style orientations. Loop & Friends match with round as well as with square washbasins and offer various solutions ranges, from attractive corner varieties to space-saving bathtubs.

Eye-catcher of the collection are two free standing bathtubs (from 180x80 cm) with square and oval inner form. An important design feature is the bathtub rim with a width of 9 cm which is ideal for mounting tap fittings and providing a convenient easily reached shelf- space.

The soft neck pad and the ergonomic back rest complete the overall picture. The inner height of 44 cm requires a reduced amount of water and lets the user climb out more comfortably. The two universal design series guarantee a perfect combination with Loop & Friends washbasins and many other products of Villeroy & Boch. Whether oval or square- “it’s just takes two!”

In addition, the universal bathtub board gives extra bathing comfort and is suitable for bathtubs of 80 and 75 cm in width. The Eye-catcher is a circle recess on the surface which is particularly suitable for holding glasses or small bowls. The wood used for the bathtub board is delivered from a certified supplier and meets environmental requirements.
